Large Group Policy
Bus, Limousine, and Tour Companies
Groups arranged by bus, limousine, and tour companies are asked to call at least a day ahead of arriving at the winery. We ask that they provide the number of people in the group and a specific time of arrival.
Privately arranged groups with buses or limos are required to make an appointment at least a week in advance. Appointments are subject to staff availability. The $10.00 per person tasting fee for everyone tasting must be paid in advance of the group arriving at the winery. Tasting fees are refundable with a bottle purchase. Groups larger than 20 people are strongly encouraged to split between Hightower Cellars and Tapteil Vineyard Winery during their appointment.
Groups that have not made an appointment may be turned away upon arrival if tasting room staff decides they are unable to host them.
Groups During Event Weekends
For tastings during event weekends (e.g. Spring Barrel Tasting), large groups (both arranged by bus/limo/tour companies and privately) need to make an appointment at least a week in advance. Appointments can only be scheduled 10:00am-12:00pm. Tasting fees must be paid or proof of weekend Premier Passes provided for everyone in the group in advance. Tasting fees are nonrefundable, even with bottle purchase or if a taster decides at the winery to forego the tasting. Groups larger than 20 people are strongly encouraged to split between Hightower Cellars and Tapteil Vineyard Winery during their appointment.
Groups that have not called ahead or made an appointment may be turned away if tasting room staff decides they are unable to host them.
